5 exercise methods to burn belly fat faster
1. Peripheral Cardiac Action Training
Peripheral Cardiac Action Training helps incorporate an element of cardio into your strength training without having to sacrifice the amount of weight you lift. “You won’t get weaker, but you can burn a lot more calories and accomplish a lot more in less time,” Posternak says.
The best way to apply this training method is to combine an upper body movement and a lower body movement into one set, or two exercises that combine opposing muscles such as the quadriceps and hamstrings, or biceps and triceps.
For example, do a set of bench presses followed immediately by a set of back squats, pausing only after the squats. This will increase your heart rate and breathing, thus burning more calories.
2. Cardio acceleration training
It also goes through two super parametric exercises, but instead of two weight training, you will do weight training combined with a cardio exercise without a break in between.
For example, you would perform a barbell squat with a heavy weight followed by high knees for one minute.
3. Multi-joint training
The best exercises for burning more calories and abdominal fat are those that use lots of muscles and different parts of your body. The clean and press is a great example of a multi-joint training exercise that will increase your ability to burn fat.
You can also add more exercises to make a compound movement even more multi-joint – this may be the best idea in this list of exercise methods to burn belly fat faster.
For example, you can do a normal barbell lift, and when you lower the barbell, you perform a burpee and a push-up. Other Posternak ideas are barbell squats with an overhead press or lunges with side raises.
4. Drop Sets
This method breaks down more muscle tissue and will make you stronger faster. This simply means that you will perform a heavy set of exercises, then lower the weight you are carrying slightly and perform another set of reps without a break between each set.

5. Circuit training
There are different ways to do circuit training and you’ve probably heard of them. Posternak thinks the best way to do this is to combine 5 exercises into one giant set.
“Set up an interval timer of 40-60 seconds on and 10 seconds off. The 10 seconds of rest aren’t your break, they’re there so you can move on to the next exercise.
Do all of these exercises, back to back, with no breaks in between. Only pause once you are done with each one. Pause for 90 seconds, then repeat the same set.
