I’ve been a huge Rebel Girls fan since their very first book released, so naturally I’m so excited to hear about their brand new Rebel Girls app.
The app features the stories of some of our favorite women – Malala, Lady Gaga, Maya Angelou and many more – in easy-to-access audio. Plus, you’ll have access to soothing sounds, activities, and meaningful new categories such as âBlack Girl Magicâ and âLGBTQ + Historyâ.
While there are plenty of podcasts available for kids, I love an app that offers them all in one place because I have a 4 year old who is still learning to navigate on an iPad.

One thing I love is that the stories on the Rebel Girls app don’t just revolve around amazing women, they are too read by amazing women. For example, the story of Simone Biles is ready by Lindsey Vonn. Olympic power couple!
The Rebel Girl apps have features to allow kids to bookmark their most loved episodes so they can find them quickly – and I was happy to know that most of the stories are completely free. This way you can see if you like it before spending $ 3.99 per month to unlock all the content.
For now, the Rebel Girls app is only available for iOS, but we hope it will expand to Android soon. And of course, you can still find the original Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls by Elena Favilli and Francesco Cavalla on our Amazon affiliate, or please support your local independent bookseller.
