Tom Hiddleston will lend his voice to the Calm meditation app as he tells the story of Winnie the Pooh’s sleep

Tom Hiddleston’s latest role could see fans crestfallen as he chronicles the adventures of Winnie the Pooh for sleep aid app Calm.

Listeners can relax with the Loki actor reciting the latest sleep story from Disney’s Winnie the Pooh app: Tales Of Friendship Treasury.

The story is a collection of adventures with the beloved bear and his best friends, as they discover the value of true friendship.

Tom, 41, said: ‘I loved Winnie the Pooh growing up and am so grateful to be able to revisit happy childhood memories through this story of quiet sleep.

“There is a lot of wisdom and comfort in the stories of Winnie the Pooh, which we can all learn from.”

“What better way to listen and reflect on the warm nature of Pooh’s character and stories than to settle in for a good night’s sleep.”

Drift into a Sleep: Listeners will be able to unwind with actor Loki reciting the latest sleep story from Disney’s app Winnie The Pooh: Tales Of Friendship Treasury (Winnie The Pooh pictured with Piglet)

Tom joins other famous faces on the app including Harry Styles, David Walliams and Matthew McConaughey.

In support of the launch, Disney released a selection of new artwork to go along with some of Pooh’s words of wisdom – such as “What’s wrong with knowing what you know now and not not know what you don’t know now, until later”.

They also produced sketches of Tom Hiddleston with Pooh to celebrate the partnership.

As part of Disney’s collaboration with Calm, 1,000 families across Make-A-Wish UK will also receive a free subscription for three years to enjoy the new Winnie the Pooh sleep story.

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh: Tales Of Friendship Treasury Sleep Story is now available on Calm for all subscribed users, with Winnie the Pooh merchandise available to purchase from major retailers nationwide.
