Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has announced that its first European resort hotel will open later this summer in Mallorca.
The Kimpton Aysla Majorca
The Kimpton Aysla Mallorca is located in the town of Santa Ponsa, 14 km from Palma de Mallorca and 20 minutes from its airport, and it will be open all year round.
Designed by local architect Guillermo Reynés, the Kimpton Aysla Mallorca has 79 rooms, set around central Majorcan-style patios. The color palette features neutral tones and natural materials with pops of bright turquoise in upholstery and textiles.
Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, rain showers, separate soaking tubs, and free access to the property’s spa.

Kimpton Aysla Mallorca will house two restaurants and two bars, and will offer an evening social hour, where guests are encouraged to gather and socialise.
A series of workshops with the island’s resident artisans are also planned. These are designed to educate guests on local traditions and include a visit to a local workshop that produces handcrafted Majorcan artisan shoes. You can learn about island craftsmanship and take home a personalized pair.

Fitness and wellness activities include road cycling, morning workouts, guided meditation, and yoga classes. The hotel also has two outdoor pools and the Maison Codage Paris spa, with an indoor pool, mud baths, sauna, salt cave, and seven treatment rooms.

The Kimpton brand plans to open seven properties around the world in 2022, including its first hotel in Bali. Properties are also in the pipeline for Germany, Mexico, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and the Netherlands over the next three to five years.
